Abstract

The Urdu novel did not become acquainted with the new experiences of the story till the twentieth century, just as new experiences began to emerge in this genre as soon as the twenty-first century came. At present, Urdu novel has become a popular genre of Urdu literature. More novels are being read than poetry. In the last decade, very good novels have been published in Urdu with unique experiments in technique, style and locale. This article deals with modern forms of Urdu novels.At the beginning, an attempt is made to differentiate between the questions of the novel and the questions of philosophy and other disciplines. Another discussion is about Stadiums and Punctums. We can see the relationship between reality and fiction in two ways.The Stadium approach defines the cultural and social context of fiction. It is a reflection of the reader's general, reasonable, gentle and traditionally polite response, as he usually adopts in his social attitudes in life. There is no confusion in such behavior. On the contrary Punctum stimulates a more intense and passionate personal-internal reaction. At the end, some important Urdu novels that have been published recently are discussed.
