Abstract

Mir Taqi Mir was a prominent poet of Urdu and Persian languages. He has written a bulk of poetry which is available in his six huge volumes and are published several times from different places in South Asia. Different scholars and specialists interested in Mir’s poetry have compiled and published his poetry and have edited and compiled his all six volumes with much sincerity and due research. But recently the author of this article Dr. Moinuddin Aqeel has discovered a very rare and unknown the seventh volume of Mir’s poetry that nobody had known to it ever. It is preserved in the Library of International Islamic University, Malaysia’s Institute of Islamic Civilization and Thought in the collection of Abdur Rehman Barker.

This article is an introduction of its manuscript which will introduce this treatise to the lovers of Mir and to the readers of classical Urdu poetry at large.
