Abstract

After the British occupation the new system and society began to form after 1857, and Urdu literature started to harmonize with the right horizontal development and modernity towards the end of the nineteenth century. Urdu Literature begun to benefit from English literature directly or indirectly. During this period the door of modernity commenced to open in this region and reflections of Western influences embarked in the thinking and themes. Its positive effect was that the Indian writers focused more on the issues than on the narrative styles. This is the reason due to which today's writer and critic, neither tends to create literature nor criticizes for the sake of criticism without analysis and scrutiny, wherein new trend and outlook is lacking
