Abstract

Studying Ghazal in the context of history, people of subcontinent as well as arientalists have contributed lot to make this genre a remarkable. This article introduces a particular European poet George Besh Shor Merithi who compiled six Diwans. The first Diwan was published in 1877 from Meerath. He was master of various genres like the native speakers.
