Abstract

Fuzuli: The great poet of classical Turkish Literature who was born and lived in Iraq is one of the greatest and talented poet of the classical Turkish literature. That time was the rule of the safawids and attoman empire one of the other in Iraq and he composed a number of Qasidas in praise of the Sultan and members of his retinue. Fuzuli’s mathnawi of “Laila and Majnun” is a master piece of its kind. This article we tried to give a short account of that great Turkish poet Fuzuli’s life, poetry and works.
