Abstract

 Moulvi Lutaf Ali Multani was not only a predecessor of Khawaja Ghulam Fareed but also a source of inspiration for the great Seraiki poet who as became a cultural icon in Southern Punjab. “Saifal Nama” is a classic example of innocent and spontaneous passion transforming into a poetic experience by this great poet Lutaf Ali Multani. Poet’s own persona has become a character of great romance at parallel with the popular glimpses of the personality of this genius and some examples with Urdu translation has been illustrated.
