Abstract

The term “ma baad tanaaza” is mere a translation of the English term “post-conflict”. While this English term is the part of 21st century’s western narrative. The word “Conflict” means “war” and the word “post” means, “after, which collectively means “the aftermaths of a war”. The term “post-conflict” was used for the aftermaths of the war zones after the wars, fought by America ensuing9/11.

In 1979 when Russian Armies left Afghanistan, the country was badly destroyed. But the civilized world never payed attention towards the reconstruction of destroyed country. Consequently, free movements of fighters in Afghanistan became a threat to the civilized world. Although this situation was not new for western thinkers but they still introduced a new theory with a new narrative, which is called the “post-conflict theory”.Basically, it’s an economical theory, according to which the reconstruction of the countries that are destroyed by wars should be the first priority of united nations. In literature the term post-conflict is used for the literary work produced by the aftermaths of 21st centuries wars. Although Pakistan was not a direct victim of the wars of Afghanistan but it’s been in fact directly involved in those wards. For this involvement the citizens of Pakistan suffered a great deal of the aftermaths of those wars. That’s why Pakistani Urdu writers are also as post-conflict writers as other victims are. Through this article I am going to take a look at such changes but our article is limited to only Urdu poems.
