Abstract

Romance or Romanticism is an aspect of the history of art and literature that encompasses the literature of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, but its effects can also be easily seen on the literature, thought, philosophy, and civilization of the period after this period. Almost all critics of this period have recognized its scope and importance, as Romanticism gave literature new thinking and new metaphors. Romanticism was not just a literary movement, but a rebellion against rationality, tradition, order, and prevailing principles, which manifested a change not only in art and literature, but also in social values, political consciousness, and moral thinking. Before the Romantic Movement, Urdu literature was blindfolded like a bull in a crusher, unaware of the whole world. Literature was frozen in the confines of objectivity. The Romantic Movement broke this barrier and took Urdu literature out of the limited context of the subcontinent and gave it an international status. Then, Urdu literature of all kinds began to be considered as a source of inspiration for its themes and writing styles. In short, this Romantic Movement created new perspectives and modes of thought in Urdu literature in terms of subject matter and style, gave writers, especially poets, unlimited scope for imagination, and exposed Urdu prose to compositional literature.

استور، گلگت بلتستان کا ایک خوبصورت مگر پسماندہ علاقہ ہے جہاں کے شعرا نے مشکل ترین حالات کے باوجود علم و ادب میں نمایاں کردار ادا کیا۔ یہاں کے شعرا نے شیینا، فارسی اور اردو زبانوں میں تخلیقِ فن کے ذریعے خطے کے سماجی، سیاسی اور مذہبی مسائل کو اُجاگر کیا۔ شیینا زبان کے پہلے شاعر وزیر احمد خان تھے، جبکہ وزیر محمد اشرف علیگ نے اردو شاعری میں فکری بیداری، حب الوطنی اور اصلاحی شعور کو فروغ دیا۔ جعفر علی خان نے انقلابی اور ملی شاعری کے ذریعے جنگِ آزادی کو منظوم کیا۔ خوشی محمد طارق نے سماجی اور ادبی موضوعات پر قلم اٹھایا۔ شاہد حسین تفکر نے نعت، منقبت اور مرثیے جیسی مذہبی اصناف میں گراں قدر کلام تخلیق کیا، جبکہ ڈاکٹر جابر حسین نے تنقید و تحقیق کے میدان میں نمایاں خدمات سرانجام دیں۔ اے۔ بشیر خان نے استور کی تاریخ، جغرافیہ اور عوامی مسائل کو اپنی شاعری کا موضوع بنایا۔یوں استور کے شعرا نے گلگت بلتستان کی ادبی و فکری تاریخ پر گہرا اثر چھوڑا ہے۔
