Abstract

                  Ayaz Qadri occupies an important position in Sindhi literature of our times. He was from Qadri family of writers, poets and journalists of Larkana. Born in 1924 and got higher education from Karachi and did Ph.D under supervision of Allama Ghulam Mustafa Qasmi. He was poet and eminent short story writer. 

In the history of Sindhi short story, he played a vital role. Due to migration of Hindu Writers after creation of Pakistan, a vacuum was created in writing of short stories. Because, there were no experienced story writers in Sindhi. Dr. Ayaz Qadri from the platform of Sindhi Adabi Sangat started lecture program on the short story, its history and technical requirements.

He was an outstanding short-story writer of his time, in this paper I have dwelt with his art of story-writing and by giving evidences from his writings, have proved his position in the history of Sindhi short stories
